Van Kampen aka the Laughing Buddha has just released his first solo
album Sacred Technology on Nano Records, following a year of extensive
touring with Tristan under the Fearsome Engine collaboration. This new
album has gone straight into the Beatport PsyTrance charts with all 10
tracks making it into the top 10. His latest collaboration is with UK
legend Merv from Eat Static so expect some huge new tracks in his live
& dj sets. With a career spanning nearly 15 years, from the early
days of the Goa Trance scene, Laughing Buddha is still going from
strength to strength continually evolving his sound to rock dancefloors
across the world. Jez made his appearance in 1995 on Transient Records
as one half of Cosmosis producing the classic album ‘Cosmology’. From
early releases on T.I.P., Dragonfly and Flying Rhino, Jez has now
joined the Nano Records family and is looking forward to the release of
his debut solo album which is nearing completion. With appearances at
such events as the Glade Festival, Universo Paralello, Ozora, Boom
Festival and countless other parties around the world, Jez is an
experienced live act and DJ and anyone who has seen him perform will
confirm that he lives up to the name of the Laughing Buddha!
