In the early 90's, Psy Trance in Greece was one of the fastest growing scenes around. Experiencing the intensity and the love for the music there, Alex Demopoulos and Andy Barakuda decided to take what they had found and bring it to the United States. At that time there was no real Psy Scene in the U.S. and they felt that Los Angeles would be the perfect nesting place for their new project. So in 1997, PsyTribe was born.

Since that time they have brought over 50 events and counting to Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Always striving to improve each event, they have brought numerous international artists, and collaborated with many others.

Since 2001 PsyTribe has been growing steadily with Andy Barakuda and Spyros combining forces and drawing in new talent. Today the PsyTribe DJ lineup consists of Barakuda, Spyros, Psyclops, Maska, Dai, Maha Richie, Scenator, Konflux and Samtabul. Chilled vibes are represented by A Freeman and Rezen. The tribe itself consists of thousands of PsyTrancers throughout California and volunteers all with the main focus of bringing great music and events to the people of Southern California and beyond.
